STEPHEN JAMES NOIL
FULL NAME: Stephen James Noil
NICK NAME: Sj by some
AGE: 20
COMMUNITY SUPPORT: Just moved in, but is interested in the blacksmith.
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
FACE CLAIM: Bradley James
EYE COLOR: Blue
HAIR COLOR: Dishwater blonde
HEIGHT AND WEIGHT: Six feet, roughly 165 pounds.
DESCRIPTION: Stephen is an extremely athletic person who takes pride in his personal appearance and overall health. He was thankfully gifted with decent genes, allowing him to pull off dirty blonde hair and deep blue eyes without appearing as if a child. His cheekbones are rather high, hidden by the leftover baby fat on his cheeks that will probably never disappear, no matter how much he works out. Below his eyes and slender eyebrows sits a straight nose with just a slight bump on the bridge, a family trait on his father's side. Beneath the nose is a full, pink set of lips.
Sj's hair is usually shagging, laying in a fanned style across his forehead and falling straight down the back of his head, with just a slight curl around the ears. Due to the amount of training he has put himself through over the years because of his sports, Stephen is well built, with the core of his muscles centered around his arms and legs. Although he is proud of his body, Sj prefers not to walk around shirtless, even though he grew up in a rather hot place. At home he was found in an array of v-neck or collared shirts, and a pair of basketball shorts, rarely dressing up. Now in Memory he must introduce himself to jeans and sweaters, something that he is not a huge fan of.
PERSONALITY: From a young age, Stephen has always been an adventurous person who finds joy in things that require physical prowess and/or cause adrenaline rushes. Very little scares him besides things that could slow him down, be that mentally, physically or emotionally. The love for adventure has always been coupled with a good natured attitude, and a fierce loyalty to those he loves. Generally, Stephen is just a fun-loving guy who is fun to be around, often poking fun in a teasing way and putting himself at the expense of half of his own jokes. He has never lacked in friends, and for the most part can bond with his family easily.
However, nobody is perfect, and Stephen found himself with a gigantic temper and a stubborn streak to go with it. The temper is not large because it is easily provoked, but because once it is unleashed it is hard to reign back in. More often than not, Stephen will become angry because somebody he c is being attacked, not because he is. He does not easily accept bullying on his own behalf either, however, but can usually control the violent urge to crack somebody in the face with his fist anytime they say something hurtful. If his family or friends are attacked, bets are off, and Stephen finds it much easier to get into a large fight than talk things out with those doing wrong. HIs temper, which is also provoked when people refuse to believe him or go out of their way to prove him wrong, gets him into more trouble than he wishes.
Despite his temper, Stephen is still close to his father and sister, and has had his fair share of relationships. His loyalty and southern manners make him a loving boyfriend and older brother/son, and he isn't one to sit around and be lazy. Helping others do physical labor is one of Stephen's favorite things, but he won't say no to being a friendly ear for listening or a soul to spill your secret to. He makes no promises that he won't get bored while talking about feelings, but he will try and suffer through for those he cares for. When it comes to talking sports he has no tolerance for anything but those that include water, and sports are the one thing that Stephen will always be humble about. Another unfortunate trait is that Stephen can become arrogant at times, but never about his water sports.
As a basic rule, Stephen has focused on academics enough to keep him in his sports and keep from getting bored at school, but finds more interesting things to do at home rather than homework. He isn't an idiot, and does possess common sense, but he is no genius and doesn't care that there are those who will always know more than him. Once out of high school Stephen jumped straight into a job, rather than going to college. He found work with his hands at a hardware store and sporting store, which kept him busy and interested.
Considering Stephen grew up without a mother figure, he finds difficulty in expressing his own feelings, and chooses not to talk about them. He has a problem with talking about anything serious, and never knows what to buy girls when they need presents. He's as sensitive as possible for the normal male, but will often find himself saying the wrong things or nothing at all when it comes to emotions. Often times he will be overcome with his own emotions if he lets them get the better of him, not knowing how to safely and helpfully let them out. On a whole, because the spirit of Simba has yet to let itself known, the Disney spirit he possesses has little influence on his personality, although Stephen's leadership abilities and childish fun-loving personality is partially because of the little lion.
HAS BEEN LIVING IN MEMORY: Only a couple of weeks.
HOMETOWN: Yuma, Arizona.
FAMILY MEMBERS: Father, James Noil (47)
Mother (deceased), Katrina Noil nee Kocher
Sister, Amy Noil (18)
HISTORY: At midnight, as the day changed from Frebruary 28th to February 29th, Stephen James Noil was born. His parents imagined he would be special, considering he was born on midnight into a day that only comes every four years. They were correct, of course, but never in a way that they would understand. Stephen was a child who was born with a Disney spirit, but more on that later.
Growing up, Stephen was a very active child, who hated to sit still and couldn't stand to be bored. His mother had her hands full trying to keep him from escaping out of his crib, or outside, or getting into the knife drawer in the kitchen. One thing that Stephen’s parents couldn’t keep him from was the water. By the time he was two, he was trying to teach himself how to swim in their pool, spending as long as possible inside the bath tub.

YOUR SAMPLE: The problem with Remus Lupin was that, for being quite intelligent, he was also quite thick. Sure, he could make his desk do flips in Charms, hold his own against hinkypunks and grindylows, brew a Draught of Living Death (if he worked hard enough), transfigure a pillow into a badger, and much more—but he couldn’t seem to get things right with girls, especially not with the only girl that really mattered in the romantic sense. Riley. Ever since he had started liking Riley in fourth year, or hell, maybe even the moment he met her, things were destined to be complicated. He was, and always would be, a monster, and an outcast to the wizarding community as soon as he was found out. A werewolf wasn't meant to be happy and deal with witches and wizards, especially not to date them. And especially not when dating the person you wanted to date, in his case, meant dragging down a beautiful, smart, funny, talented, practically all around perfect girl. In Remus' humble opinion, anyways.
Really, he was being selfish for being friend's with Riley period, because she deserved a better 'best friend with a dick', as she put it. This was where all the complications started arising. Remus Lupin was a werewolf, but Riley Wolfe didn't know that, and he always felt too much like a coward to let the cat--er, wolf, out of the bag. In his mind, he was positive that dating her was out of the question; this meant that when he made slip ups, like just this past summer where he made the daft move to snog the hell out of her in her bedroom, things just got crazy. Riley, he now knew for certain, liked him. Lily had wanted them to date for a while. His best mates didn't understand why he didn't just give in and do the same. Remus, however, just couldn't do it. What sort of prick was he, to forever doom the life of such a great girl who deserved more, so much more, than he could give?
So to make up for his slip up, he tried to tell her that the kissing didn't mean anything. He tried to say that he didn't like her like that, that he just wanted to stay friends, that he didn't want to date, and had silently prayed the whole while that he sounded convincing, and that maybe Riley's IQ would drop about one hundred points for the moment so she would believe him. Of course, he didn't have that kind of luck, so Riley got pissed, and kicked him out of her room. And this was why Remus Lupin was both intelligent and thick; because while he thought that the thickness resided in letting himself kiss his best friend period, it was really the fact that he still wouldn't give in to his feelings, or tell Riley his secret, or do anything besides ride the train next to her on the way to Hogwarts in an uncomfortable silence, while filled with jealousy.
It had been at Platform 9 and 3/4 that Remus found Riley, his best friend Riley, the girl he loved but couldn't be with (again, his thickness shows, but sadly he cannot see it), with another bloke--Tony. That bleeding Ravenclaw whom he knew had taken an interest to her as of late, and whom she had shot down time and time again, until now. It had been a shock, to say the least, and not to mention one of the biggest causes of jealousy to date. Sure, Rye had dated other blokes in the past, but this was directly after they had snogged each other at her place. Now, Remus knew that it was hypocritical of him to even feel slightly jealous--who had told Riley he didn't want them to date, oh right, him--but he couldn't help it. He liked Riley; no, he was pretty sure he loved Riley, and had for years. So yeah, to see her kissing and hugging and holding hands with some other bloke made him feel jealous. Especially when he thought of how their kiss had went, and how great it had felt to have her pressed against him--
Thoughts of the kiss, and debates of what he was supposed to do now that he went and screwed things up, and silent yelling at himself for being so daft had occupied Remus for most of the train ride, keeping him quiet. It didn't help that sitting with Riley in the train compartment had been horribly awkward, since she was angry at him for what he had done and he was angry that she was dating Tony. Then there was the whole 'James was Headboy' thing, because maybe it had been selfish and egotistical of himself, but he had really thought that he would be in that compartment with that badge on. Which wasn't to say he wasn't happy for his mate, because he really was, and really did think James was a good leader and deserved it. Hell, he even hoped that he and Lily would start getting past all that sexual tension now that they were forced to be around each other all the time. Still, he had half planned at the end of last year that he would be riding in that compartment for half the trip...
All in all, his return to Hogwarts had not been what Rem had hoped for, or rather, just not really what he had expected. It was true, he felt better to know that he was going to be under the watchful eye of Dumbledore, especially considering the war that was looming, and it was a great relief to know that in the next full moon, he would have his best mates there to help him keep control. He was glad to see Lily and Riley again, and he liked the thought of all those Hogwarts meals to fill him up; yet now he had to pretend that he didn't care that Riley was dating Tony, and had to try and act just like a best friend around her when he was constantly feeling miserable, and convince everyone that really, he didn't want to date Riley. All the while trying to get them back to the friendship they have always had, with the knowledge that there was a huge rift between them now.
So the train ride had been awkward and silent, with everyone trying to act normal, laughing when they heard the story of how Lily told James to give Rem the badge back, exchanging stories of what had happened since they'd all seen each other laugh, and things that friends did. Then the feast, where seeing Dumbledore giving a speech had helped Rem relax his shoulders a bit, although seeing Tony and Riley kiss and talk had been like a punch to the gut. Somehow, treacle tart didn't taste nearly as good when he had the vision of Riley pressing her lips to some other bloke's in his mind. In all honesty, bed hadn't come fast enough for Remus, and he had all but ran up the stairs to their dormitory, ahead of the other Marauders, and set about getting himself settled for bed, glad to be able to sleep in what he viewed as his real bed.
Of course, he had barely gotten his pajamas on before the others were up with him, and the comments started.
"You and Riley barely said a word to each other," James commented, as he got himself ready for bed. Remus hadn't been able to keep a straight face as he carefully set aside the HeadBoy badge on his bedside table; James Potter, caring about his badge. Or better yet, James Potter having a badge for Head Boy period. However, the smile hadn't lasted, as Sirius had joined the conversation as well.
"What happened between you two when we were back at Riley's place, anyways?" Thankfully, Remus didn't have to answer that as Peter spoke up with a confused, "Something happened between them while we were at Riley's?" The others had snorted and rolled their eyes, giving Remus enough time to slip into his bed and pull the covers up his side. His hope had been that if he looked like he was already about to pass out, they'd leave him be. Of course, he really couldn't be that lucky. He couldn't be lucky practically at all lately, it seemed.
"So, what happened?" Sirius repeated, chucking a pillow at his head. Rem rolled his eyes and picked it up, throwing it back as he sat up, He didn't want to talk about it. He didn't want to tell them and have to hear them call him daft and mad for causing all this trouble. He didn't want to hear Sirius say that he should just snog her, or James say that he was being thicker about Riley than he ever was with Lily, or have to explain something to Peter because he didn't understand the situation. "Come on, Moony, spill!" Apparently, it didn't matter what he wanted.
So, as nonchalantly as he could, he had repeated what happened to them. At first there had been wolf whistles about him snogging the hell out of Riley, but those died away when they realized that Remus and Riley weren't together, and he continued the story. By the time he was done, Sirius was already interrupting him, asking why he hadn't just kept snogging Riley and finally let his daft arse date the girl. "Oh, I don't know," Remus said sarcastically, looking irritated. "Couldn't be that I have a furry little problem, or anything."
"Mate, we don't care that you've got a furry little problem," James said calmly. "I bet Riley wouldn't either."
"Besides," Sirius said as soon as James was done talking, "just because you have that furry little problem doesn't mean you can't get a good shag, Moony, or at least snog Riley and date her. Last I checked, it wasn't illegal for you to be happy."
"But how can I do something like that to her?" Remus asked, exasperated. "I mean, I'll never have a decent job, I get scarred and tired and turn into a monster every month, and she just...doesn't deserve that!" They all fell silent, James and Sirius shaking their heads as if they thought Remus was too thick for his own good, and Peter looking nervous and a tad confused. With a loud sigh, he had shut his hangings, laid down, and fallen into a fitful sleep.
