Yuki Kousagi Kaiser
FULL NAME: Yuki Kousagi Kaiser
NICK NAME: Snow, Snow Bunny, White Rabbit
AGE: 23
GRADE OR OCCUPATION: Executive Assistant (or, in the common parlance, a secretary)
ORIENTATION: Self-proclaimed asexual, but panromantic
ALLIANCE: Neutral
FACE CLAIM: Miura Himura
EYE COLOR: Naturally a startling blood red color, but wears dark colored contacts
HAIR COLOR: White-blond
HEIGHT AND WEIGHT: 5'5”, 140 lbs
DESCRIPTION: Yuki is half Japanese, half German, and all albino. His hair is naturally a white-blond color, though he sometimes darkens his eyebrows and lashes with mascara because it makes the white hair look more like a fashion statement than a genetic anomaly. He'd tried dying the hair entirely, but keeping the roots touched up was just too much work. Besides, he doesn't mind the white hair so much as the sensitivity to sunlight and poor vision.
Whenever he goes outside, he has to wear sunscreen, even on cloudy days in the winter. He wears a tinted sunscreen to keep his skin from looking so pale and pink, leaving him with kind of a fake almost-tan. While most humans with albinism have gray or blue eyes, Yuki's are red as a rabbit's. The dark contacts serve to correct his vision, disguise his unusual eyes, and protect them to some degree from light, though he has to wear sunglasses as well on brighter days.
Some people find him attractive in an exotic, androgynous sort of way, and he does his best to maintain a sharp appearance. He is usually dressed in a shirt and tie for work, but on the weekends he's been known to bum around in jeans and an over-sized hooded sweatshirt. Although lately he's been displaying a proclivity for waistcoats, bow ties, and wire-rimmed glasses...
PERSONALITY: Yuki has often been described as “fussy”, “stodgy”, “fretful”, “anxious”, and “a middle-aged man trapped in a young man's body”. Ever since he was a child, he's always been far too serious and full of worry about everything. This constant anxiety has caused him to be prone to bouts of depression and withdrawal from social situations. He's a bit obsessive-compulsive regarding the organization of his things, and being punctual. The very thought of being late for anything sends him into fits.
Sometimes, Yuki is so wrapped up in his own worries that he misses out on the good in life. He doesn't have many friends, and the few people who do try to take a chance on him wind up driven away by his neurotic tendencies. He's oddly oblivious of this phenomenon, claiming he's too busy for friends. He's a bit of a workaholic, and takes his job very seriously-- though it's rare for him to not take anything seriously, so that's not saying much.
He has a tendency to be emotionally detached from people, and this carries over into his love life-- or rather, the lack thereof. While he has admitted (at least to himself) that he has found various individuals attractive, it's always on an intellectual level. Sex has never entered into the equation for him, aside from a few experimental fumbles as a teenager, and all that did was confirm that he had essentially zero interest in sex. Ironically, his sexuality and romantic inclinations have never really caused him much fuss, because he's too busy worrying about everything else to bother with it.
HOMETOWN: Parkslope, Brooklyn, New York
FAMILY MEMBERS: Maryanne and Lynde Kaiser (adoptive mothers)
HISTORY: Yuki's story didn't start out as a happy one. His mother gave him up for adoption immediately after he was born. She left him with nothing but a name that was more of a joke than anything (Yuki Kousagi literally means "Snow Bunny" in Japanese, likely a reference to his albinism) and a clue as to his biological parents' ethnicity.
Luckily for Yuki (another play on his name, which can mean either "snow" or "lucky"), he was adopted fairly early on by a young lesbian couple who wanted children of their own, but weren't interested in going through childbirth. Even knowing the meaning of his name, they kept it, only adding their own surname to make him part of the family. They knew from the moment they saw their little boy that he was special somehow. They just didn't know how very 'special' he was.
Yuki grew up in a fairly progressive household, which is unsurprising considering his adoptive parents. They encouraged him to be a critical thinker and a fair-minded individual above all other things, and instilled in him early on the value of working hard to achieve his dreams. They did perhaps pressure him overmuch to succeed in school, and that may have contributed to his anxiety issues. While his mothers were affectionate toward him, Yuki demonstrated early on that he did not like to be touched or held for any prolonged amount of time. He returned their love in his own way, always an obedient and hard-working child, and never really had a "rebellious phase" as a teen. Unless one counts the day he told his mothers that he was asexual, but nobody else does (they continue to be supportive of their son, no matter what his orientation).
While Yuki was in college, his obsessive-compulsive tendencies, especially concerning punctuality, increased exponentially. His professors commented on how he was never late for a single class or homework deadline, no matter how much he fretted and complained. Until finally, one day, Yuki was aware of the spirit inside of him. There was no dramatic fanfare, no mind-blowing revelation. He simply woke up one morning and knew that he was inhabited by the spirit of the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.
"Oh," he thought at the time, very calm for once, "that does explain a few things, doesn't it?"
He received the invitation to Memory, Maine a short time thereafter. The letter filled in a few details he'd been wondering about and confirmed that he was not, in fact, going mad. Immediately transferring his credits to Harmony college, he moved to Maine after only a brief explanation to his parents. Bemused, but trusting their son to make his own choices, they wished him all the best. He still hasn't told them about the spirit inside him, but only because he has no idea how one opens that conversation: "Mom? Mother? I'm possessed by a cartoon character."
Right.
Over time, Yuki learned how to coexist with his other self, and seems to be adapting quite well all considering. He graduated college with a bachelors degree in business management, attended his mothers' first legal wedding in Iowa, found a job as an executive assistant for a very lucrative company, and has his heart set on a job as an event coordinator. He is looking forward to attending his mothers' second wedding later this summer, this time in their own state of New York. Despite all of his apparent success and contentment, however, Yuki feels that there is something missing in his life. A lack that has yet to define itself...
DISNEY CHARACTER: White Rabbit
ABILITIES/ATTRIBUTES: Yuki has the ability to take on the form of a white rabbit, as per his Disney spirit, and has a talent best described as Peculiarly Perpetual Punctuality. No matter how late Yuki thinks he's going to be for some event or another, he always finds a way to arrive just in the nick of time. This talent sometimes carries over to situations even when he doesn't realize he needs to be somewhere. He has incredibly serendipitous good timing. Often his timely arrival is precipitated by him fretfully exclaiming, while staring at his pocket watch, “I'm late! I'm late!”
DESCRIPTION: In Alice in Wonderland, the White Rabbit was the ever-rushing, ever-fussing creature that caused Alice to fall down that rabbit hole in the first place (through no fault at all of his own). Always worried he would be late for a very important date, he was forever checking his pocket watch and dashing about, sometimes barking orders at his household help without actually checking whether or not the people he was yelling at were actually working for him. He was the Queen of Hearts' trusted herald. As well as frantic and anxious, the White Rabbit is fairly timid creature, prone to stammering and finding himself at a total loss for words on a regular basis. When he's in his element, however, he carries himself with a certain dignity and presence.
Because Yuki's own personality is so inherently compatible with the White Rabbit's, they get along swimmingly. Sometimes it's rather difficult to tell where one ends and the other begins, as their personalities tend to overlap, and are merging more by the day. Nobody, not even his mothers, have noticed much of a difference.

In the bigger cities like Tokyo, Hong Kong, Seoul, New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, a new phenomenon was sweeping the underground: dreamcades. Better than video games, these were specially designed dreams with trained dreamers running them. They were expensive as hell, and thus the new popular playground for the rich and bored. Everything from fantasy adventure to racing to player-versus-player shooting games, and more as the dreamcade designers started thinking outside of the confines of traditional games. There were already companies working on adapting these dreamcade fantasies for safe, marketable home use.
Dreamcades had nothing on the scenarios Eames and Arthur could cook up together. They'd had Ariadne's help developing some of the settings, and with her mad architectural skills, they had the most incredible landscapes populated with impossible buildings and non-Euclidean geometry outside of an H.P. Lovecraft story.
And they were using them to play Capture the Flag. Naturally.
Well, they called it Capture the Flag, or better yet "Dream Combat Training", but it was really just a testosterone-soaked competition to see who could rack up the higher kill count before the timer on the PASIV ran out. Eames enjoyed this exercise, which harkened back to his military days with Arthur, when they were still doing this on the government's dime. It was basically an excuse to show off how cleverly they could kill each other, over and over again.
To be fair, it was fun.
Eames grinned as Arthur came into his sights, several buildings away. He'd walked right into the forger's trap. "Kiss kiss, Darling," Eames murmured into his mic, ensuring that this was the last thing Arthur heard before the bullet from Eames' sniper rifle took him neatly through the skull.
Boom. Headshot.
