SKY DANNA WINTERS
FULL NAME: Sky Danna Winters
NICK NAME: Rajah, Raj
AGE: 23
COMMUNITY SUPPORT: Quester
ORIENTATION: Bi-Curious
SPIRIT AND MOVIE: Rajah from Aladdin
FACE CLAIM: Hayley Williams
EYE COLOR: Green
HAIR COLOR: Red/Orange
HEIGHT AND WEIGHT: 5’ 2”, 120 lbs
DESCRIPTION:
Sky is not the typical twenty-three year old...She seems instead like a disgruntled teenage youth who spent too much time smoking weed during her school hours. For one, she’s stuck on dying her hair an odd red-orange color. She has been cutting her hair for a couple of years now, hence the choppy lairs and uneven bangs. Her eyes are a bright emerald green color, glinting slightly gold in the sunlight. She is a short little firecracker, coming in at just under 5’ 2”, but what she lacks in height, she makes up for in personality. She has soft facial features; a slightly rounded jaw line, lips a little too large for her face, a button nose, and curiously arched eyebrows.
Sky’s fashion sense leaves her hanging somewhere between confused 60’s drug addict and 80’s punk rock star. It often looks like she gets dressed in the dark--mismatched clothing, ponytail askew, makeup verging on theatrical--but she doesn’t seem to mind. She’s happiest in whatever is most comfortable and she’s not afraid of people looking at her...as long as they don’t look too long.
PERSONALITY:
Loyal-Sky is uncommonly loyal once she forms bonds with people. She’s not one to take her friendships lightly and often considers people she has just met to be her life-long friends. Her loyalty often verges on obsession, as she cannot seem to break bonds with people, even when they try and get rid of her. In many ways, this allegiance often scares people away because they’re not sure what to do with such a zealous companion around all the time. She wasn’t always like this, however, it seems as if this strange sense of dedication stems from her awakened spirit, Rajah, who is undyingly loyal to Princess Jasmine.
Suspicious-Sky barely trusts anyone, even her closest friends sometimes. She can’t go a day without constructing some sort of conspiracy theory in her mind, it’s one of her pitfalls. Everyone poses a threat to those who she cares about and she’s constantly on high alert when it comes to meeting new people. This is why she tries to spend as much time as she can alone, so that she’s not constantly focused on what everyone might be up to. This can, again, be traced back to Rajah, the ever chary tiger spirit that fills her mind sometimes.
Caring-Despite her relatively hard and uncaring outer-shell, Sky can be one of the most caring people you’ll ever meet...You just have to get through her suspicions. She’ll do whatever she can to make her friends feel comfortable around her and to put their minds at ease. After spending a little bit of time with someone (provided that they make a good first impression), Sky is extremely sensitive to others’ feelings and thoughts.
Sky is rough around the edges...A work in progress as she tries to meld with her Disney Spirit, Rajah, who’s a little overbearing sometimes. But she’s trying her best to work it out.
HAS BEEN LIVING IN MEMORY: 1 Week
HOMETOWN: San Francisco, California
FAMILY MEMBERS: Windbrook Winters - Mother - 66
HISTORY:
Sky’s mother was a hippie woman who was way past her prime, single, and still throwing herself out there for the younger men in San Francisco. Unfortunately, one of those younger men her mother lusted after got her pregnant and Windbrook Winters had Sky when she was 43 years old. Sky has grown up with only her eclectic mother, never knowing who this mysterious younger father was, and never caring for that matter. From the day that she was born, Windbrook made sure that Sky learned to accept everything and everyone the way that it was. Windbrook did not teach Sky to call her mother, but instead, simply “Windbrook,” establishing from a very early age that she was not really a mother-figure in Sky’s life, more of a playmate.
When Sky turned three, she told her mother that there was someone growling in her head and that it wouldn’t stop. Windbrook took one look at Sky and told her that it was probably her stomach, patted her on her head, told her not to worry about it anymore, and went back to smoking the cigarettes that she kept in her large purse. Sky was little, so she just shrugged it off like her mother told her to. However, as the years past, Sky continually complained of the growling and sometimes purring that filled her mind. Sky even named the strange sounds “Raa” because that’s all she ever heard from the odd rumblings that sometimes consumed her thoughts.
On Sky’s seventh birthday she brought a dead bird to the back door in her mouth and showed Windbrook. Sky had expected her mother to be pleased, but instead Windbrook reacted adversely and told Sky to go to her room. It was the first time that Sky had ever been punished in her life and she spend the next day alone in her room, wondering where her mother had gone. After that day, Windbrook never looked at her daughter in the same way again; now every look was full of curiosity and confusion as she tried to figure out what exactly was wrong with her child.
After that incident, Sky all but gave up on talking to her mother. And Windbrook basically stopped talking to her daughter. It was pathetic really, the two of them sitting in their kitchen, not saying a word to each other for the next couple of years. The one and only time that they interacted was when one was accidentally locked outside of the house--a quick cell phone call was placed to the other in order to get the spare key and then the conversation was quickly over. It was a dark time for Sky as she fully learned what it was like to be neglected by her own flesh and blood.
As Sky got older, she fell into sorts with the wrong type of crowd. In her first year of high school, she became involved with a boy who dealt drugs to almost the entire school, Lance Gregory. All of her friends tried to warn her against him, but she refused to listen, believing that the two of them were in love and nothing was ever going to change that. She thought that she would have gotten a weird vibe from him if there was something seriously wrong with him. Unfortunately for her, there was. After the pair had been dating for about 4 months, the school decided to preform their routine drug searches of all the lockers. Sky began panicking about Lance’s locker, knowing full well that he had stashed all of his supply in there yesterday.
As the police began searching the school, Sky felt her palms clamming up. She heard the dogs barking outside of the classroom, an indicator that they had found something. The sound of metal bending as they pried open the locker that had been identified. She couldn’t imagine what they were going to do to Lance when they found the drugs. But as the door swung open, the principal stood there beckoning for her...not for Lance. Her heart broke in that moment as she cast a glance from Lance to the door and then back again. He had this awful smile plastered on his face as he stared right back at her. She had been set up.
After a long talk with the school board, Sky was suspended from school and forced to go into drug rehab for her apparent problem. She was able to return to school 4 weeks later, the loathing for Lance written all over her face. She could hear “Raa” growling in her head as she walked down the hallway, practically stomping her feet. She reached Lance’s locker and shoved it closed leaving a huge indent where her hand had just been. It was that day that Sky began to discover that “Raa” was something more than just a voice inside her head. She was about to punch Lance when she looked over her left shoulder and caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. Her eyes were a bright ocher color, narrowed, her teeth sharp. She stared for another moment and everything disappeared. Her fingers instinctively touched her face and then looked back at Lance. He could wait...this situation could not.
She ran to the bathroom and slammed the door behind her. She approached the sink and looked at her reflection carefully. Everything seemed to be in order...until she saw the faint outline of a tiger in the background. She spun around and looked for the animal. Surely there couldn’t be a tiger in her high school. She shook her head and turned back to the mirror, but the animal was still there. Finally, it raised its head and looked at her, a goofy grin plastered on it’s face. Sky’s eyes widened in horror, “Raa?” She asked through the mirror.
Rajah, The tiger seemed to answer her without moving his mouth. Sky reached up and touched the mirror and traced the tigers reflection, recognizing him immediately. Before anything else could be said, someone opened the door to the bathroom and this Rajah dissipated into nothing.
Sky graduated high school without an exemplary record, but luckily she didn’t get into any more trouble. The summer after high school was the next time that Rajah made an appearance. She was at work when she saw the tiger slinking around the restaurant that she was working at. She dropped the tray that she had been handling and looked around the room, wondering if anyone else was seeing this. Everyone, of course, looked like nothing was wrong, so she assumed that Rajah was only evident to her mind. She bent down to start cleaning up the tray and Rajah trotted over and rubbed his cheek against hers. She laughed, attracting the glares of a few people sitting to her left. When she looked back to see the tiger, he had disappeared again.
And so the on and off appearances of Rajah continued for another couple of years. She enrolled in a local community college, studying photography, constantly trying to snap photos of Rajah when he appeared out of the blue, however, they always came up blank. She eventually grew frustrated and gave up. Rajah was appearing more and more now, especially in public places and Sky was beginning to fear that everyone would think she was crazy if she continually acknowledged him, so she began to ignore her tiger-counterpart.
On her 21st birthday, she decided that she would take her last semester of college to study abroad in India. She finally made it out into the wild untamed jungles of India and began photographing tigers. She was in sheer bliss when she finally made it back to the town she had been staying in. Then she received the letter. It told her all about a Disney Spirit possessing her and she immediately thought of Rajah. It made so much sense. She finished her semester abroad and didn’t bother returning to San Francisco, there was nothing left there for her. Instead she moved to Memory.
Her first week at Memory has been uneventful. She’s not sure how to react to such a strange place and is still trying to work out all the kinks. She’s been avoiding most people out of sheer suspicion, but the more that Rajah begins showing himself the more she thinks that she needs someone who understands what she’s going through.
DISNEY CHARACTER: Rajah
STATUS: Awakened
ABILITIES/ATTRIBUTES: Can turn into a tiger, speed, brute strength, keen eyesight in the dark
DESCRIPTION:
Rajah is very awake and active in Sky’s mind. He usually reveals himself to her in one of two ways: slinking around outside of her mind where only she can see him or growling and purring within the confides of her mind. She has speed, extremely good eyesight in the dark, and impressive physical strength that come directly from her relationship with Rajah and come in handy when she’s out questing for the community. The more time that Sky spends alone, the more she feels Rajah’s presence...and as soon as she got to Memory, she was able to transform into a tiger so that she could better communicate and fuse with her Disney Spirit.

YOUR SAMPLE:
Darcy had zoned out once Cassandra had started her monologue about the importance of the list and everyone’s ability to find a place on Universal Soldier. It just sounded like the droning of a small animal to her now. She stared blankly at her book, hoping that the cameras would take this as her studying and negate some of the points that she had lost over the past hour.
She heard the bay doors open, but she didn’t look up. Whoever it was would most likely introduce themselves. It was common Communication courtesy and it seemed as if everyone was following the rules these days.
However, the room remained quiet for a little while and Darcy furrowed her brow. She slowly looked up to see what was taking the person so long to answer. She found herself staring at David Roitter. The Engineer from the Research Lab. She had seen him around every so often, but they had never talked. She had always been too busy to make small talk with anyone...Until today, of course. She watched him cross to the mini-fridge and she leaned forward ever so slightly to see what he was doing. It seemed as if he was searching for something.
A cola. Darcy was immediately sickened and strangely intoxicated by the thought. It had been ages since she had tasted cola. She had always denied herself because of her Craving score. And now here he was, sipping away like it was a no-point-taking water bottle.
She could feel her stomach fighting the urge to heave. She couldn't believe that he was drinking a cola in front of her. She stood up slowly and took to the exit, waving at them all, "I've got...I’ve got to go. I'll...see you guys around. A pleasure as always." She said, her tone betraying the sickness she was beginning to feel. She made sure to lock eyes with each one of them for but a moment and then stalked out of the room, clutching her stomach tightly.
