Jerry awoke the next day with a mixture of feelings. He was unsure how he would like teaching especially students with...classic Disney cartoon characters crawling around inside their heads. It certainly will be strange. He even wondered if he could handle it. 'Of course you can handle it. With my help you can handle anything,' Scar's voice informed him. Jerry had to smile at that. Scar always seemed to know what to say to get Jerry's confidence back.
"You're right. Besides, it's not as if it's my first time teaching. I have taught many students math in the past. I can so do this. I..." Jerry confidently started only to stop and turn around, head lowered. "If it's not anyhing new then why do I have this...feeling that I'll fail," he whispered softly in worry. In his head, Scar chuckled softly. 'Don't worry, you got me, remember? You won't fail. Failure is not an option here. Look, it's simple really. You want your new students to love and respect you?' Scar's voice asked. Jerry nodded, already interested in Scar's help and advice despite his better judgement. "Of course!" 'Then you must rule them thru fear. Students respond well to intimadation and it'll make teaching them much easier as they'll all be too scared to act up,' Scar explained. Thinking about what Scar had just said, Jerry frowned. "But then wouldn't they be too scared to ask me questions?" Jerry asked. Scar would have smirked if he had his own body. "Precisely. After all, you don't want to be humiliated on your first day. Do you?" Scar asked. "You know what they are like towards new teachers," Scar reminded causing Jerry to wrinkle his nose in disgust. He knew all too well what Scar was referring to. "Yes, I do, the little brats," Jerry hissed, remembering his first teaching job and his first day teaching.
'Then we haven't a moment to lose. Quickly, I shall teach you exactly what to do and say, so it will not happen again,' Scar informed him with confidence. Jerry nodding, prepared himself to listen to Scar's advice. "Good. However, there is a slight...catch,' Scar started causing Jerry's heart to drop and his mouth went dry. He frowned. "What!? Hey, you never said there was going to be a catch!" 'Look, you want my help or not?' Scar growled to which Jerry's eyes fell to the ground in defeat and he merely nodded. Scar smiled inside Jerry's head. 'Good. As I was saing before I was so rudely interrupted. The...catch isn't much. You just have to let me take over...just at least during your classes and in this way we can effectively ensure no one will ever disrespect you...us,' Scar explained. Jerry thought a long moment. Scar did have a point and he did know how to control him, so he agreed.
"Oh fine. But, don't forget genius, you can't teach my class without me," Jerry coolly reminded, which seemed to impress Scar. 'Yeah, yeah, you're the number guy and I'm the assertive one. Together we should make a great team,' Scar said sarcastically. "And don't you forget it!" Jerry hissed back not appreciating Scar's sarcasm.
After his long conversation with Scar, Jerry got ready to head for the school. Wanting to make a good first day impression, he dressed semi-formally. Not exactly a full suit and tie, but he did dress nicely. In fact, just looking at him, you could never guess the villain lurking within.
Some time later after arriving at the school and at his class long before the students arrived...
Jerry sat all his stuff down on his new desk while he stuck some important papers inside the drawers. He was not a neat freak, but somehow amongst all the clutter he knew just where everything was and that's how he liked it. He knew no one will be able to find anything, but himself, giving him extra security. So in this way, he was messy on purpose. While he waited for his students to arrive, which according to the clock was any minute now, he wrote his name on the chalkboard where everyone could see. Unfortunately, writing was not Jerry's strong point, which probably showed in Jerry's rather messy writing. In fact, Jerry's writing sort of resembled that of a doctor's. You know the kind, the ones who always write prescriptions and one ends up having to squint and re-read it a couple of times just in case it said something else. Jerry snickered at Scar's plans for getting the students' attention.
