Having worked an early shift this particular day, Tim had taken to aimlessly wandering the streets in search of something to do. Finding himself in front of Fauna’s Music he decided he might as well waste his time there instead of on the street. Tim always had a very interesting relationship with music not to mention a very wide array of musical tastes, from folk to hip hop, classical to reggae. That’s probably why he never really went in music stores; he could literally spend hours roaming through the aisles without ever deciding what to buy. Today, however, was different as he had no intention of making a purchase.
After scanning through the new releases he made his way towards the back of store. A minute or two later he came across one of his more favored artists and grabbed a CD to ‘preview’ in one of the machines. Strapping on the headphones and finding a particularly interesting tune Tim went to work losing himself in the music. An indefinite amount of time later he was approached by a salesperson who insisted he move along. Having not had much face time with anyone so far today Tim took the opportunity to bombard the salesperson with a conversation, which obviously startled him because he quickly excused himself back to the front counter.
With a sigh and a sardonic remark, Tim continued on his wayward route through the store. It had been a weird day so far and he was just starting to feel downtrodden about it. He was a naturally friendly, talkative person and going so long without a willing participant in a conversation was leaving him twitchy and shifty-eyed (That’s not to say Timon wasn’t a willing participant, but he did get a little incessant after a while). Stopping at another CD display he used one hand to flip through the selection and his other hand to drum his fingers lightly against the top of said display, every so often glancing around the room in search of human contact.
