That afternoon, Flash found himself to be quite bored. It was the weekend and he had no classes and his job didn't need him that day. Heh, it's ironic really as he only works at the sweet shop because he was so bored in this puny town. Flash definitely was a city slicker and 24/7 entertainment via technology and electronics was his muse. Plus he really did have a short attention span, so here in this small town he tended to get bored really easily.
That was until he spotted it, the very building that was going to change his opinion of this town forever. His bright green eyes blinked and he rubbed them to make doubly sure he wasn't imagining things. "A...A movie theater...here? But how could that be? This...town has nothing, aboslutely nothing fun to do and yet they actually have a movie theater! It's amazing! It's beautiful! It's...going to be what I'm going to do today," he excitedly gasped. Running now, he made a bee-line for it.
He looked to see what movies were playing and chose to see a comedy. He went up to the window. "One adult ticket to see the funniest movie you got here," he said with a wink. Groaning, the ticket lady gave him one and he went inside.
Flash, feeling hungry walked up to the concession. His eyes looked up at what they had to offer. Now Flash had a slight problem when it came to deciding things as he was so fickle. He didn't know what he wanted. He smiled at the red-head who worked there. "Hey there," he flirted. "So out of all this stuff you guys have to offer, what would you recommend?" He asked. Flash found this girl to be pretty cute and just couldn't help himself. He sighed.

So one would have assumed her father would have covered her tuition plus leave her some extra money for herself but that same man didn't exactly approve of her moving here either. Poor Adia was having to pay for her own tution, and even make atleast enough for other things. That was the only reason she was stuck here in some theatre on the weekend and not eve watching a MOVIE. Her hours were spent serving patrons their movie snacks, and having to deal with people spilling stuff all over the place. Worst scenario had been when bother had been dropped on the floor leaving her slip on it no later.
Atleast today hadn't been too busy, considering the few people who lived in this tiny town. Adia leaned against the counter a little boredly, chin resting in her palm. Her soft grey eyes flickered to life at the sound of a voice. The red head straightened up, placing a hand on her hip. "What would I recommend? Hmm the nachoes, popcorn, hotdogs, and some of the candy." She said, a smile carving its way onto her lips. "But I mean almost anything on the list there is pretty good. Trust me I think I've tried everything they've got here..."
She humored, turning back to look up at the variety of foods they served. Truth be told, she did have a snack here and there when no one was looking. "So feel free to try what you like, you won't be disappointed. Oh, mind me asking what your watching?" Adia curiously asked, leaning against the counter once more. Heck she wasn't even sure what was playing, which was kind of funny considering how she worked there. Flash just grinned at her. Finally some excitement in this boring, one horse town! "Hope you don't find me too forward, but what's your name? Mine's Flash," he introduced. "So um how do you enjoy working here? Me? I work at the local sweet shop myself. I am such a sucker for sweets," he added in an attempt to make conversation before his movie starts.
"And oh I'm going to watch Rio. You may noticed I'm a sucker for animated movies too haha. Juat don't tell anyone please. People might think it...weird for a guy to like stuff like this, ya know?" He told her, almost forgetting what he was standing in line for.
Good thing no one was standing behind him or else they'd be yelling at him to hurry up. In fact, he totally forgot he was even in a line as he was so into this conversation. After all, it wasn't everyday Flash met a nice girl. Then it donned on him like a pile of bricks and he frowned. 'Oh shit, my girlfriend back home,' he thought. 'But then again she's back in that city in Maine, doing her own thing and...and it's not as though we're engaged. We were just dating. Would she really be all mad and jealous of me talking to other girls? I mean come on she's studying to be a lawyer at some prestigious school, I'm sure she goes on dates with other guys all the time. Right? Right? Flash thought to himself in an attempt to justify talking to this nice young girl. She did appear to be around his age too.

Adia's lips held that warm smile of hers releasing a soft chuckle at his words. "You can call me Adia. Or Addy, whichever is good." She nodded, reaching over to grab a cloth to clean off the counter there. For one it was still sticky from when some killed spilled over his soda, plus butter from popcorn. "Sweets? Who doesn't love them, I try and stop in there when I can but lately I haven't had the time. And working concession isn't too bad....somedays."
She humored, looking up at him once more. Rio? The name sounded familiar but somehow the concept of the movie escaped her mind. "Don't worry, I won't spill. Besides animated movies are awesome, don't let anyone else tell you other wise." Adia held a gentle grin on her lips, tossing the cloth aside as she straightened up. Giving a glance around, there truly wasn't anyone else there. The movie theatre had been pretty empty that day except the occasional person who came in. "You know, since its been pretty quiet....I think I might go catch that same movie with you." She said, figuring she could kill some time with a flick here and there. Besides it wasn't like there would be anymore people coming. Plus Adia was sure someone else was here to cover for her. Flash smiled. "Adia, that's a nice name and you like animated movies too? That's great! See, I just met you and already we have something in common. Although, I'm not sure what my favorite animated movie is so far..." He said excitedly, shrugging slightly at the end. Flash was surprised by her offer. He raised a curious brow. "Really? You can do that?" He asked, clearly surprised. After all, if he tried doing something else with someone at his job, the manager would no doubt yell at him.

Adia slid out from behind the counter, giving a gentle shrug. "Well it's not exactly something I can do, but one time won't hurt. Besides I think someone else is suppose to come in a few minutes to help out here, they'll be fine on their own." Adia assured, looking to Flash with a smile. "And of course, animated movies have always been something i've enjoyed. Guess I'm still a kid deep down."
She commented, following with a light laugh. Adia stepped forward, moving along a little towards the theatres. "Well come on, I heard Rio is actually pretty good." Adia said, motioning over her shoulder with her thumb towards the theatre playing the movie. The red head slowed, giving a glanced back. Last she could recall, the manager still hadn't come in nor did he ever really check on them. Her grey eyes flickered back to Flash, finding him amusing and friendly in all. Which was why she didn't have too much of a problem conversing with him or even practically inviting herself to see a movie with him. "Flash right? Well it's a total pleasure meeting you, and sorry if I've jumped in on your movie time. It's just been so dull working today especially when theres no business. It's been way too quiet." She explained, linking her arms behind her back as she walked. At her assurance Flash returned her smile. "Ah...well alright then, I gotcha," he said with a slight chuckle. At her admission about being a kid deep down inside, Flash nodded. "Heh, same here. Although, I don't much like admitting it," he whispered then turned away. He sighed. "It...it's complicated and I don't much like talking about it," he explained not wanting to admit to her how he truly felt about this place lest she'll get all nosy and even offended like Shere.
He shook the thought away and turned back to her. "I'm sorry, I sort of got...distracted. What...what were you saying again?" He asked, rubbing his head. He was getting a migrane because of his smoking addiction and the fact he hasn't smoked in over a few hours. Wasn't used to going so long without a cigarette.
Although, he slowed down a bit, he continued to follow Adia to their movie. Still, he did hear her last sentences. He just nodded when she asked his name again. "Mmm...hmm... Oh, yes, that is perfectly understandable. I mean I'd probably be bored sitting around here all day waiting for some...action to happen too," he told her, still rubbing his head. He had to speed up to a jog to catch up to her. 'Man, a whole lot faster than she looks. Full of energy too,' he commented to himself. Not wanting to appear weak to her, he forced a smile.
