TIMOTHY OSCAR NIVEN
FULL NAME: Timothy Oscar Niven
NICK NAME: Mostly Tim, although he’ll tolerate Timmy
AGE: Twenty-one
GRADE OR OCCUPATION: Works as a cashier at Ed’s Grocery
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
FACE CLAIM: Joey Richter
EYE COLOR: Brown
HAIR COLOR: Brown
HEIGHT AND WEIGHT: 6’ 2 and approximately 165 lbs
DESCRIPTION: Tim is and has always been tall and thin. He somehow manages to maintain his lanky stature despite stuffing his face quite frequently. His eyes are a deep, dark brown although always appear to be sparkling and lit up, like they’re illuminated from behind by a candle. His dark hair is often styled in a way that some people might consider odd, but Tim takes great pride in his mane and considers it a thing of beauty. One of his most notable physical characteristics is his crooked jaw, which is the result of having broken it as a child.
PERSONALITY: Tim is, in short, a people person. He is very theatrical and out-going and off-the-wall. He is very good at talking and can talk his way out of almost anything. He is imaginative in his presentation and has a talent for making friends. Priding himself on being a good conversationalist, he’s the type of person who has never really met a stranger. He could carry out a conversation with a brick wall and be perfectly content.
Going somewhat hand-in-hand with the “outgoing” aspect of his personality, Tim can be very, shall we say, creative. He spends a lot of time dreaming up various schemes which are typically completely impossible to follow through with although he always tries and has more than once ended up in the hospital with some sort of bodily injury. When he was a child his mother assumed he did it for attention and thought the best thing was to ignore it; the same way she ignored the majority of his wisecracks. His sarcasm was going-on-legendary when he left Bozeman and a lot of people, on first impression, may see him as rude.
Despite all his antics, Tim actually has a big heart and will gladly stand up for what he believes in, as long as it’s not too dangerous…
HOMETOWN: Bozeman, Montana
FAMILY MEMBERS: Mother – Mary Linda
Uncle – Max
HISTORY: Tim was born and raised in Bozeman, Montana, just a short drive from Yellowstone Park. His parents divorced when he was a baby and Tim never knew his father. His mother, Mary Linda, worked as a bookkeeper for her brother’s construction company. When Tim reached an appropriate age he, too, began working for his Uncle Max. Tim always tried his best at whatever job he was given, but he just never seemed to be…well, good at anything. Mary Linda encouraged her son to keep trying and insisted that he was doing a good job, although Max remained somewhat embarrassed of his nephew and seeming-lack-of abilities.
After deciding it would be best to let Tim go, Mary Linda managed to convince her brother to give Tim one more chance. Her good intentions backfired when Tim inadvertently caused an accident that sent his uncle to the hospital for a week. Having lost all respect of his uncle, Tim was considering leaving Bozeman and heading off on his own path…until receiving a letter inviting him to Memory, Maine. At first he assumed it was some kind of a prank and didn’t take it very seriously. But with everything that had happened, he desperately wanted to get away from Bozeman...so he took a leap of faith.
Upon entering the Classic Academy, Tim quickly became intrigued by everything they were teaching. He had never before been so interested in learning, although that’s not to say he was interested in the normal school subjects. All this business about having the spirit or someone else? It was crazy, it was insane…but he was intrigued. His curiosity about the subject caused him to try much harder at it and as a result his character was awakened somewhat early.
As a result of his new-found spirit, Tim felt a strong pull towards a fellow student whom he hadn’t before had much contact with. But Tim now found himself following this other boy around and striking up a friendship with him. When the boy’s own spirit was awakened, the pair realized their connection and are now practically inseparable.
DISNEY CHARACTER: Timon
ABILITIES/ATTRIBUTES: Tim can speak to and understand animals, and transform into a pale brown meerkat.
DESCRIPTION: Since Tim’s character was awakened a few years ago by now, the two have had plenty of time to work out most of the kinks of the situation. They get along splendidly (most of the time) and often trade witty remarks with one another, although on occasion they have been known to argue. Through Timon, Tim has found his best friend who found him through his own character, Pumbaa. Tim’s also been drawn towards a few other people he wouldn’t have normally been interested in at all. There are even a few people that Tim is severely afraid of, although he’s not quite sure why.
YOUR NAME: Max
YOUR AGE: Nineteen
YOUR RP EXPERIENCE: Several years. I’m not sure how long exactly.
YOUR SAMPLE:
He had just about lapsed into unconsciousness when he felt a poke on his arm. Popping one eye open, he gazed lazily in the direction of the poke and caught sight of a familiar face. A lethargic smile worked its way across his face as he replied, “I don’t think that one was exactly my fault…” As he watched her look him over and remove some bandages from her bag, he lifted his arm to get a better look at it himself. He hadn’t even noticed the scrapes initially so they weren’t exactly bothering him, but since she had offered he might as well have them taken care of. He shrugged a bit and held his arm out towards her.
Taking a deep breath of the fresh morning air, his eyes drifted closed again just before he heard her speak again. “Well, a bit uncoordinated…but I’m doing pretty well, I guess. How about you?” He and Cyrah had known each other in what seemed like another lifetime but was really just a few years ago. They were never particularly close, which Flynn could proudly say about everyone he went to school with. But Cyrah always seemed different than everyone else, more like him; maybe that’s why he never went out of his way to pester her like he did with so many others. Another lazy grin spread across his face as he acknowledged the time. “Yeah, it has, huh?”
Settling back into the grass he gave a soft sigh and let his eyes flutter back open. He twisted his head and looked her over. She’d changed since he last saw her, but not drastically; she was still clearly and easily recognizable. He, on the other hand, had always had more of a ‘nerd’ build during high school. He was about five foot five his freshman year, wore horrible braces, weighed about a hundred pounds soaking wet, and had a ridiculous voice: all the results of embarrassingly-late puberty. However upon returning to school for his sophomore year, he was at full height and not-quite-full-weight, his braces were replaced with a sparkling smile, and his voice had deepened considerably. That’s not to say anyone really noticed, though.
“What have you been up to?” he said suddenly, raising his hand to scratch idly at the back of his head. Turning his head away and gazing back up at the clouds, he added, “I haven’t seen you in a while.” He realized he had just reinforced the earlier statement she had made, but he didn’t think she’d mind.
