JOSHUA ABHIRAJ KING
FULL NAME: Joshua Abhiraj King
NICK NAME: Josh
AGE: twenty-two
COMMUNITY SUPPORT: Warrior
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
FACE CLAIM: Chad Michael Murray
EYE COLOR: blue
HAIR COLOR: golden blonde
HEIGHT AND WEIGHT: 6'2"
DESCRIPTION: Josh is (in his opinion) an average looking boy. He's tall, very muscular from the various sports he's played throughout the years, and it seems no matter what he eats it doesn't go anywhere. Josh has blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, a deadly combo for some girls. He is usually seen wearing jeans and some kind of t-shirt. He doesn't really care how he looks. He prefers to be comfortable over stylish, but somehow that works for him.
PERSONALITY: Joshua is a very caring person. He loves his friends and family (yes, even his brother) and he puts their needs first before his own. He is kind, loving, and he knows what is right. He likes to have a bit of fun, mostly teaching the younger kids how to mess with his best friend, but when it comes to someone trying to hurt his friends or family, Josh is right there and ready to rip someone's head off for them.
He's a family oriented guy, he wants to have kids one day, but he wants to be the right age and completely ready (and of course married) before he goes and has kids. He likes to take his time with things, he's pretty laid back, but if someone disobeys a rule and could get themselves in danger, Josh is very stern.
Much like a father, he will scold whoever goes against his wishes and puts themselves in danger, but he still loves them regardless. Josh is very fatherly to the kids in town and looks upon them as his "children," and he loves running around and teaching them how to cause mischief.
HOMETOWN: Kenya, Africa (just spitballin' here, cuz I dunno African countries nor where the lion king was set)
FAMILY MEMBERS: Janet King (mother), Samuel King (father), Maxwell King (brother)
HISTORY: Joshua Abhiraj King was born to the King family in Africa. His parents were only in Africa for a few years, and a couple years after Josh was born, his brother Max followed soon after. Joshua had a fascination with lions, and he would always watch them when he was young. This fascination led to the manifestation of a somewhat "imaginary" friend. The boy would sit around and talk to this lion he made up, but the name was always very clear when his parents asked who he was talking to--Mufasa. Eventually, Joshua grew out of the stage of imaginary friends and made real ones, but that little voice stayed in the back of his mind for the rest of his life. Quiet, but there.
The King family stayed in Africe until the boys were around 5 and 4 years old and the family soon moved to America, where Mr. and Mrs. King were originally from. Over the years, the King boys found out that they were different from each other and they didn't really seem to get along anymore.
Josh and Max were complete opposites. Josh was blonde, Max had black hair. Josh was tanned and muscular, Max was pale and thin. Josh went out for sports, Max was more of an artist. This all went on like this for quite some time and the two of them were perfectly fine with just being two passing trains that never really met up at a station until a girl came around and that peaceful existence was shattered. She was a friend of Max's for the longest time and Josh thought she was cute, but once she hit puberty Josh felt himself being drawn to her. Max was not a fan of that.
After Josh and the girl started dating, Max and Josh ended up having horrible arguments. They would yell, scream and soon throw things at each other and actually try to cause harm to the other. It got so bad that when Josh was fourteen, he almost attacked his brother. Mr. and Mrs. King were distraught their boys were not fond of each other anymore and soon they started taking the boys to counseling sessions.
When the boys were in high school, Max decided to take things a step further. Josh and his girlfriend were still dating after all that time and soon Prom season started up. The juniors were so excited and all were getting ready for the big night. Josh was going with his girlfriend and Max was off with another girl he'd met at school. It was going to be a great night, right? Wrong. Max lured Josh away from the group, claiming one of the kids he looked after was in danger, and it turns out it was all a trap. Joshua was ambushed and left for dead in an alley while Max went and "took over" for his brother and took his date to the dance. Joshua awoke in the care of an elderly man, who told him where he had found him, and Joshua never went back to his family. They believed him to be dead and Max took his place in the family. Joshua was hurt that his brother would go that far to get rid of him, but he has moved to New York with the elderly man that took him in and they lived together for awhile until one fateful day....
Joshua had gone grocery shopping with his elderly companion, but soon they came upon some hooligans trying to rough the two of them up. Josh became uncharacteristically angry with the men when they would not leave them alone and when push came to shove, in Josh's place stood a large, golden lion. Needless to say, they ran away and Josh changed back a few minutes later due to the pure shock of turning into an animal. His elderly friend stayed with him, telling him that there was something he may need to know.
They went home, where the man checked the mail to see a letter from Memory for Josh. He explained that he had gotten one awhile ago and he ignored it, but once Josh moved in with him, he had been getting more and more. He expected Josh to be getting one soon, and he was right. Josh read over the letter, his confusion overwhelming him, and soon he retreated to the roof of his building. As he sat there, he heard a deep voice calling his name, echoing through the night, and soon he looked up to see a figure forming in the clouds above.
"Joshua. You have forgotten me."
The voice of Mufasa shook him to his core, the boy staring at the lion in the sky in awe as he tried to process what was going on. This was the friend he had made in his imagination when he was young. The voice was exactly the same. Mufasa went on to explain what was going on, and how he had unconsciously followed most of Mufasa's storyline already, but there was one thing that the lion asked of his host--to protect and advise his son. Mufasa was not able to guide and protect Simba when he was alive, but he hoped that Josh would find Simba and protect him with his life. That was all he asked, so Josh accepted.
Josh moved to Memory, his friend deciding he will wait on coming with him, where Josh has taken up a job as a warrior. With Mufasa on his side, he figured it might be a better way to work out his frustrations than running away from them.
DISNEY CHARACTER: Mufasa
STATUS: awakened
ABILITIES/ATTRIBUTES: Joshua turns into a large golden lion with a red mane, and can also assume the form of Cloud!Mufasa when he wants to. (Usually it's for emphasis. EMPHASIS!!!!) He is wise beyond his years, can communicate with other animals, and is omniscient when it comes to his family. (basically. HE KNOWS ALL! SO SIMBA AND SCAR BETTER WATCH OUT! But only with family so he doesn't know TOO much. xD)
DESCRIPTION: Josh and Mufasa get along rather well. Mufasa had always been in Josh's imagination since he was young, but once the lion fully awakened a little while ago he is always there for his host. Josh looks up to Mufasa and wants to be able to help his spirit in any way he can. Since Josh basically lived out his spirit's life in the movie, his purpose now is to find Simba and protect his son with his life. Just as he did before (but hopefully this time he would not die). Josh is a little less terrified of dying than he used to be, since he now knows that Mufasa's plotline has been almost complete, but that memory of almost being killed still plagues him to this day. It doesn't help that he has the added images of Mufasa's death replaying at the same time when he thinks about it.

YOUR SAMPLE: The graveyard shift. Again. Boy how Josh hated the graveyard shift. He usually got some sleep in before he went to work and pulled an all-nighter, but he wasn't able to today since his brother was driving him bananas. Stupid brother always bothering him and keeping him from sleeping. Josh shook his head lightly as he went out to deal with another problematic customer that demanded to see him. Being the manager was hard! Especially at 1am when all the drunks were out and being stupid. Yay for drunks. Sarcasm at its finest. The blonde boy appeared from his office only to be greeted with a couple of men stumbling in and wandering to the counter to order more alcohol than they had already consumed. Rubbing his temples and coming up behind his employee who had just told the man that he had to cut him off before he even had a drink, Josh was confronted by the pack leader.
"Now you listen here boy, I refuse to be treated like some hooligan who came in just to get a buzz! I'll have you know-"
Blah. Blah. Blah. Josh hated men like this. They try and pass themselves off as good men who'd just fallen on bad luck but it was very rare that a man like that would stumble into the grill. Sure, it wasn't an open bar, but they still served alcohol at the grill. Not the smartest move if Josh said so himself. The man continued to ramble on, his words slurring in his drunken state, as he started shaking his fist at Josh. The boy listened until the man paused to take in a long breath and he finally stepped in. "Sir, it does not matter how much alcohol you think makes you intoxicated. By your actions, you are drunk as a skunk and you need to leave because I am cutting you off. Unless you want to order yourself some food, then I will be happy to seat you and your friends in a booth and you can order from there."
The man eyed Josh for a little bit, but soon grumbled and he wandered over to a booth nearby while one of the waiters manned the booth he sat himself down in. The young manager sighed and rubbed his eyes with a yawn, his blue eyes wandering along the counter until he caught sight of a beautiful blonde girl one of his best waitresses was waiting on. Josh had seen her around before, and probably met her once or twice before. Her name was Odette. She was beautiful and just was the nicest person he'd ever met. He'd never have a chance with her. Sure, Josh had a large crush on Odette and always wanted to get to know her, but he felt she would never want to know him. He was just a simple boy who lived on the island. Why would a beautiful girl like that want a kid like him?
Josh caught sight of a red-haired man (most likely one of the other drunk men's friends) start to wander over to Odette and Josh's expression hardened. It was then that he realized he'd melted when he saw her, but that redhead just didn't seem right. Sure, Josh had seen this man every once in awhile, he wasn't too hard to forget, but he had never been this drunk before. Josh felt a tap on his shoulder as Doris, the plump waitress that was serving Odette, appeared at his side.
"Josh honey, what's wrong?"
Josh shook his head and his expression grew dark. Something was up. Sure, it was just another drunk man but if he made any move to hurt the blonde girl or even just harass her, Josh would be there in seconds. Doris seemed to sense that and she kept herself busy by going to the kitchen to put in the orders from another table.
